Message I can understand the belief that since my programs have only been around for a shorter time than JWT's, then they dont deserve the same credit. This also begs the question of whether or not it is safe. The thing that none of you who have this stand-up speculation to talk about whenever one of these posts are made is the fact that an engine not properly tuned in the respects of the high load bands will not last long at all. You would be lucky to go 300 miles before you have cylinders with no compression, rod bearings that have been beated to death, or catastrophic engine failure as a result of detonation. You have to realize that the low and mid load ranges of my programs are the same as Nissan's specifications; I dont change those for a number of reasons. The fact that only the high load areas of the maps are changed mean that if there is something wrong with the re-programming, the consequeneces of this will arise very quickly. Because of this, one cannot say "its a matter of mileage that determines the quality of the programming" or "the element of having 12 years of programming experience is required to produce reliable programs." Its really a matter of putting several cars of the same upgrades on a dyno and refining the programs to account for the variations you will see between that batch of vehicles and programming the final program accordingly. If there is something wrong with the remapping such as too lean of A/F or too much timing, the thing will come apart in less than what one will drive in a weeks time.

In conclusion, to say your car would be a guinea pig if you run my program would only mean you are doing the same thing if you run a JWT program. I am fighting an uphill battle on these issues mainly because most of the Z community does not realize what I detailed above and the comments made that a program must be tried and tested for some particular number of years gets taken as fact simply because it sounds good, but in fact it is an incorrect assumption.
